MATRADE To Send O&G Delegation To Houston Next Week

KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) -- For the first time ever, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) will be organising the participation of Malaysian oil and gas (O&G) companies and agencies to the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, Texas, next week.

The OTC is the world's foremost event for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection which is held annually at Reliant Centre in Houston.

In a statement Wednesday, MATRADE said that for the April 30-May 3 event, MATRADE was coordinating the participation of 19 Malaysian O&G companies and 11 O&G agencies and associations.

MATRADE Chairman Datuk Mah Siew Keong is scheduled to officiate the 4,000 square feet Malaysian Pavilion.

It said: "The objectives of Malaysia's participation are to promote Malaysia's O&G industry and to update the Malaysian business community on the latest developments and business opportunities in the O&G industry.
